英语历史语篇的历时演变——语法隐喻的语料库研究

摘　　要：本文通过建立语料库的方法对英语历史语篇演变过程语法隐喻的形式和作用进行定量和定性分析,发现语法隐喻在英语历史语篇的历时演变过程中是随着时间的推移数量逐渐增加和出现复杂形式。正是名词化和动词化语法隐喻的大量使用使得近现代历史语篇远离传统的叙事叙述体裁,而朝着解释说明体裁方向发展。This paper attempts to make both a quantitative and qualitative study of the forms and functions of grammatical metaphor in the diachronic evolution of the English discourse of history. Through the analysis it tentatively concludes that grammatical metaphors increase in terms of both numbers and forms as the discourse of history evolves. It is by reason of the employment of two forms of grammatical metaphor,namely nominalization and verbalization that the modern and contemporary discourse of history moves away from traditional mode of recount to that of narrative and explanation.
