(P >0 .0 5 )。Objective To normalize lipid composition of erythrocyte membrane in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods 30 patients within 48 h after the onset of cerebral infarction had the treatment with both conventional treatment and soybean lecithin 10 g three times a day/d.po. for 30 days. Results The level of total plasma cholesteral decreased by 0.69 mmol/L, the level of total phospholipids increased by 1.35 mmol/L. In red blood cell(RBC),the cholesterol content decreased by 0.11 mg/10 10 RBC, phosphatidylcholine(PC) and total phospholipids increased by 0.109 mg/10 10 RBC, and 0.135 mg/10 10 RBC, respectively; cholesterol to total phosplolipids ratio and saturated fatty acid to unsaturated fatty acid ratio decreased by 0.059 and 0.12 respectively. Erythrocyte deformability increased. The composition of RBC membrane mentioned above in patients with cerebral infarction were significantly lower than those in normal adults( P < 0.05 ) before taking soybean lecithin, but after taking soybean lecithin, these parameters were no different when compareted with those of normal adult( P > 0.05 ).Conclusion Soybean lecithin could make lipid composition of RBC in patients with cerebral infarction to normalize.
