摘　　要：认知语言学为解释语言现象提供了理据,也为改变外语学习的方法提供了可能。一些重要的认知语言学理论为学习词汇的一词多义、词法的时态及情态动词、习语及句式提供了语言的理据性。语言学习是一个充满复杂现象的过程,认知语言学理论对外语学习的作用,需要大量的实证研究。Cognitive linguistics provides motivation for language phenomenon,makes it possible to change the way of foreign language learning.Some im portant theories in cognitive linguistics offerm otivation for learning the polysemy of a word,tense and m odal verbs,idioms and grammar patterns.Language acquisition is a process full of complicated phenomena.The role of cognitive linguistics in foreign language learning requires a number of empirical studies.
