摘　　要：美国庞大而多元的高等教育体系中有一类独特的学院———博雅学院。这些学院沿袭英国剑桥牛津的传统 ,致力于本科生教学。文章以著名的克莱蒙特学院联合体为例 ,介绍了博雅教育的哲学理念、教学方式和实践 ,并讨论了其对我国高等教育发展的启示意义。Liberal arts colleges are a unique part of the diversified higher education system in USA. These colleges follow the tradition of Oxford and Cambridge and commit to excellence undergraduate education. This paper employs the Claremont Colleges as an example to introduce the philosophies,modes,and exercise of liberal arts education in America and discusses the implications for development of higher education in China.
