摘　　要：从古至今，性别歧视问题一直是社会关注的焦点，这一问题存在于社会的许多层面，包括语言层面。性别歧视在英语语言中的体现也比比皆是，本文将从词义的大小、词义的褒贬以及词义的降格几个方面来讨论英语词汇中的性别歧视现象。Since ancient times,sexism has always been the focus of the society.Sexism exists in many aspects of the society including the aspect of language.Quantities of examples about sexism can be found in the English language.Here in the essay sexism will be discussed in the following aspects:the status of the meaning,the commendatory and derogatory meaning of words,and the degradation of words.
