摘　　要：我国英语专业现有的课程设置中，语言技能类的课程以精读课为重心，这种读写高于听说的做法违背了语言的本质和二语习得规律，所以我们有必要把听说放在首位，推出一门“听说综合课”来取代精读课的部分功能，以便从听说而不是读写入手，培养学生对英语的综合运用能力。In the curriculum of the English Department in China’s universities,intensive reading occupies a central position among courses of language skills.This practice of putting reading and writing above listening and speaking goes against thenature of language as well as the law of L2acquisition.Therefore,it is necessary for us to place listening and speaking in their rightful places,and introduce a new course named“integrated listening and speaking”.The purpose of this course is to take over some of the important functions of intensive reading so as to base nurture of students’all-round communicative competence on listening and speaking instead of on reading and writing.
