霍恩比“综合法”视角下的俗语英译探析——以《玉米》英译本为例

摘　　要：以《玉米》英译本中出现的俗语为例,运用霍恩比"综合法"理论,从语言和文化两个层面出发,指出葛译的优点与翻译再创造,以及分析翻译过程中信息传递不足,文化传递缺失现象,同时提出较为合理的翻译建议。Ge’s English translation of adages in Yumi is studied both linguistically and culturally by applying Snell Hornby’s integrated approach.The merits of Ge’s translation and his recreations,as well as inadequacy in information transfer and cultural losses in his translation process are pointed out.In addition,reasonable suggestions are given to fix the above-mentioned problems.
