摘　　要：文章立足于中国侦探小说得以发生的原初语境,从《时务报》的办刊宗旨和传统审美习惯两个层面考察了张坤德翻译福尔摩斯侦探故事的策略,诠释了西方侦探小说得以立足中国文化场域的缘由,认为《时务报》上最初的福尔摩斯故事译作为中国现代侦探小说的发生奠定了认知基础,提供了思想准备。Based on the original context of Chinese detective novels,from the principle of The Newspaper Current Affairs and the traditional aesthetic habit,this paper studies the strategy of Zhang Kunde s translation Sherlock Holmes detective stories.It explains the reason why western detective novels have gained a foothold in Chinese cultural field.The author thinks that the original translation of the Sherlock Holmes stories in The Newspaper Current Affairs has laid a cognitive foundation and provided the ideological preparation for the occurrence of Chinese modern detective novels.
