摘　　要：Robert Louis Stevenson was born in Edinburgh,Scotland(1850-1894).He was a novelis t,a poet,and a travel writer.He was also on behalf of new romanticism in English literature.Stevenson was one of the most prolific writers.His representative novels were Treasure Island,Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde and so on.He traveled a lot when he was young.
