摘　　要："吾言史意"这句章学诚自我标举的话,是理解其史学史叙述的重要指示——只是"史意"不能仅仅解释成"历史理论或史学观点",而应作"史著的风格"理解。章学诚从六经中抽取两种对立的风格("意"),然后考察这两种风格在史学演进中的起落嬗变,以"意"的波动建立通贯的史学史叙述,展示了一种和现行史学史研究范式大异其趣的独特进路。“I speak for the meaning of history.”Zhang Xuecheng sings his own praises in this statement,which is an important indicator of his view of historical narrative.Yet one cannot regard“the meaning of history”as a“historical theory or historical view.”In fact,it is rather about the“style of historical works.”Zhang identifies two opposite styles in Six Classics,and traces their evolution in historiography.Based on the evolution of meaning(yi),he constructs a coherent system for the history of historiography.His view exhibits a unique approach alternative to the current dominant paradigm of historiography.
