张之洞《劝学篇》的学习观及当代价值

摘　　要：张之洞的《劝学篇》是在"今日之世变乃前世所未有也"的时势下所写的,其中体现的学习观内容丰富,主张"人才之盛衰,其表在政,其裹在学""学以益智,智以救亡",为学习赋予了"保教、保国、保种"的地位,具有启智、强国、救亡、去毒的功效和作用,提出了"中西兼学,中学为体,西学为用"的学习内容设计,通过去妄去苟、择善而学、循序、守约、会通、广译、阅报等方法,以知耻知惧的爱国之心和使命感,达到知变、知要、知本的学习效果。时代变迁,但这些学习观对当代的学习者和学习指导者仍具有一定的价值。Zhang Chih-Tung’s Encouraging Learning was written in the then situation of“no prior occurrence of the present change”,presenting rich content of learning view holding that“talents’ups and downs are explicit in governing and implicit in learning”,“learning helps the mind and wisdom saves the life”,which gives to learning the position of“protecting education,defending the country and keeping the race”,having the function of enlightening the mind,strengthening the country,saving the nation and getting rid of the bad and proposing the teaching content of“Chinese and Western learning,the Chinese as the mainstay and the Western as utilization”to get the learning effects of knowing the changes,understanding requirements,and remembering the nature through the methods of getting rid of arrogance and indifference,learning by choice,following the order,keeping promise,understand thoroughly,broadening sense and reading newspapers.Although time has changed,these views of learning still have some value in guiding the learners and learners instructors in the modern time.
