An Overview on Postgraduate Education of Laws in the University of Tokyo

摘　　要：东京大学的法学研究生教育机构为大学院法学政治学研究科。法学教育主要包括综合法政专攻、法科大学院。前者分为硕士课程和博士课程,以理论素养为主,主要目标是培养研究者;后者的职能在于培养实务法律家。东京大学法学教育师资实力雄厚,专业领域齐全,且理论与实务均衡,确保开设多样课程,注重少而精的精细化培养。教育的主要特色表现为小班制的上课与指导结合教学模式、以研促学、重视判例研究、双向和多向教育、构建学生自主式学习机制、教育方法改善上的民主机制、对学生和社会需求的积极回应、践行国际化。Postgraduate education institution of laws in the University of Tokyo is Graduate Schools for Law and Politics.Regarding the law education,it mainly includes School of Law and School of Legal and Political Studies.The former,divided in master and doctorate program,primarily targets at cultivating researchers taking theoretical attainment as principal while the latter aims to train for practical lawyers.Characterized by a strong faculty team,complete major categories and excellent balances between theory and practice,the Graduate Schools for Law and Politics ensures diversification of courses setting and emphasize precise cultivation on basis of fewer-but-better education.Predominant features of education are combination teaching mode of small-sized classes and teaching instruction,using research to promote learning,attaching importance to precedents study,two-way and multidirectional education,establishment of autonomous learning mechanism,democratic system of improved educational methods,and proactive response to requirements from students and society as well as active practicing of legal education internalization.
