英文电影译名的障碍和方法

摘　　要：在英文电影译名中,由于中西方语言和文化的差异,译者需跨越很多障碍,其中主要有:词汇、习语和典故、宗教文化差异、性禁忌和两岸三地之间的地区差异等。针对这些障碍,提出了译名翻译的6种方法:音译、直译、意译、音意结合、直意结合和另译。以期通过灵活地运用各种方法,努力达到电影名称内容与形式的统一、源语与目的语的统一、译者和读者的统一。Due to the linguistic and cultural differences between the Western and China,the translators have to break through obstacles such as words and idioms,religious differences,sex taboo and the regional differences among China's Mainland,Hong Kong and Taiwan.Based on it,six translation methods are put forward,such as transliteration,literal translation,free translation,combination of transliteration and free translation,combination of literal translation and free translation,and re-translating in order to achieve the balance between the form and the content,the original language and the target one,and the translator and the readers by means of flexible usage of these methods.
