摘　　要：和汉语文化一样,英语文化也有丰富的典故性成语。所谓典故性成语,指的是出自历史事件、寓言、神话、传说、谚语、作品等一类的成语。其特点是源远流长,富含浓厚的民族色彩,约定俗成,?广为民间使用。通过了解和学习英语典故性成语的来源与汉译,我们能了解到英语受世界文化影响的程度,也能更好地学习英语文化并灵活运用其典故性成语。In common with Chinese culture,English culture is rich in allusion idioms as well.The so-called allusion idioms refer to the allusion idioms which come out of the historical events,fables,myths,legends,proverbs,works and so on.They are characterized by its long history,strong national color,conventionality,and wide usage by the public.By means of comprehending and learning the derivation and translation of English allusion idioms,we can figure out the extent to which English language is influenced by world culture and study English culture better as well as make full use of English allusion idioms.
