摘　　要：With globalization,cultural exchanges among various countries have become increasingly in-depth.As akind of art,films play an important part in cultural communication and exchanges,and because of the introduction of alarge number of foreign films and television shows,more and more audience need subtitle translations to help them un-derstand the plot and cultural connotation of those films.Skopostheorie focuses on the purpose of translation,which is basically consistent with the aim of subtitling translation in order to convey a more comprehensive cultural informationfor the audience with specific cultural background.Meanwhile this paper chooses the film Pride and Prejudice to ana-lyze the characteristics of subtitle translation from the perspective of Skopos theory and to summarize the particulartranslation skills or strategies from this movie.
