摘　　要：翻译是全面体现译者英语水平和文化素养的一项技能,掌握翻译之道尤为必要。选用大学英语翻译题为例阐释1.能直译则直译的基本原则2.顾及英汉语言差异,或用归化法使译文符合西方语言习惯;或用减译法省去汉语重复词汇;善用代词提升句子流畅度。3.注重文化因素,语体要正式专业,措辞准确,不留瑕疵。College English translation is a skill that generally shows the English and cultural level of the translator.It is necessary to master the methods of translating.First,to translate literally in the original sentence sequence is a best principle.Meanwhile,under the light of the differences between two languages,rhetoric translation needs domestication to meet western readers;subtraction of some synonyms in Chinese and the good use of pronouns instead of nouns help make the translation smooth.Finally,In translating culture,formal style should be used,diction carefully chosen in order to be perfect.
