摘　　要：高职院校和应用型本科院校英语教学改革的方向之一是行业英语(简称EOP)。EOP教学改革需要优秀的EOP教师。面对英语教学改革,EOP教师需要不断提升专业素质,其专业发展程度的高低决定教育教学改革能否取得成功。分析EOP教师专业发展的内涵及现状有助于为EOP教师的专业发展提供对策。One of The direction of English teaching reform in higher vocational institutes and application-oriented colleges is English for Occupational Purposes,shortened for EOP,which requires excellent EOP teachers.Faced with the teaching reform,EOP teachers need to continuously improve their professional qualities the level of which determines whether the reform will succeed or not.The analysis on the connotation and current situation of EOP teachers'professional development contributes to provide some strategies for their professional development.
