翻译背后的“提线人”之意识形态——以金庸《射雕英雄传》英译本为例

摘　　要：翻译是一种文字操纵活动,而其背后的主要力量是影响译者翻译行为的意识形态,其中既包括译者作为个体的意识形态,也包括其背后的社会意识形态以及赞助人强加在译者意识形态中的权力话语。以勒菲弗尔的翻译操纵理论为指导,通过对比分析金庸先生的《射雕英雄传》原文与其英译本第一卷的内容,探究意识形态对翻译活动的影响,主要包括翻译文本的选择以及翻译策略的选取等,希望对武侠小说以及其他题材的翻译研究有所帮助。Translation as a kind of manipulation of words is under the influence of the ideology. The ideology that influences the translation behavior is the product of a mix of ideologies,including the translator's ideology as an individual,the social ideology behind the translation activity and the discourse powers imposed by the patronage.In light of Lefevere's manipulation theory,this paper analyzes Anna Holmwood's translated version of Legends of the Condor Heroes 1:A Hero Born by Jin Yong (Louis Cha) and discusses the influence of ideology on translation,including text selection and translation strategies.
