理工科专业课英语教学问题调查分析

摘　　要：国内高校理工科的专业课双语教学实践活动已历时近20年,全英语教学活动也正在积极开展中。本文尝试在教育资源网络化全球化的今天,调查分析大学生对全英语教学专业课的态度、意见和建议。此次共有100位大学生参加了调查,调查问题涉及英语学习、专业学习、教材选取、课堂教学、实验教学及考核方法等各个方面。结果表明:学生普遍认同国内高校理工科应该推广双语和全英语教学,但自己愿意选修全英语专业课的比例只有55%。本文通过对调查结果数据的统计对比,深入分析了各方面现有的问题并给出具体建议,以期为国内理工科全英语教学的未来发展方向提供思路。EMI (English as Medium of Instruction) has been practiced over a decade in Chinese engineering high education.In this paper,we designed a questionnaire to analyze the students' attitudes and suggestions.The questions covered many aspects,including English learning,academic course learning,textbook choice,class schedule,labs,exam format,etc.The conclusion shows that students agree with the promotion of EMI,but only 55% of them prefer to choose EMI for themselves.Based on the statistical analysis,this paper presents specific suggestions for EMI in engineering education.
