摘　　要：本文依据学科核心竞争力理论,以上海交通大学外语学科建设为例,探讨了外语学科核心竞争力的组成要素及其构建路径。作者认为外语学科核心竞争力要素主要表现为三大要素,即学术要素、人才要素和机制要素。其中,人才要素是外语学科核心竞争力的关键。我们应当从学术、人才和机制等角度构建外语学科的核心竞争力。This paper, drawing upon the theory of core competence, discusses the key elements of the core competence of foreign language and literature discipline and the construction of the core competence. It is argued that for foreign language and literature discipline, the key elements of the core competence involve teaching and research, faculty and mechanism, and thus the core competence of the discipline has to be constructed from the perspectives of teaching and research, faculty and mechanism.
