摘　　要：黄宝生是我国当代杰出的印度学家,在印度文学翻译与研究领域取得了卓越成就。早期通过编写《印度古代文学史》,他对梵语文学的发展历史进行了系统梳理,对相关作品进行深入研究,作出恰如其分的评价,并在此基础上撰写了系列学术论文,体现出深厚的梵学根基。中期主持翻译印度大史诗《摩诃婆罗多》,为中国的印度学和史诗学研究奠定了文献基础,全面提升了中国在世界印度学领域的学术地位。其《〈摩诃婆罗多〉导读》是关于这部史诗的专题研究,对作品的版本背景、人物形象、思想内容、艺术特点以及宗教哲学伦理等文化内涵都作了深入浅出的讨论。近期关于小说《十王子传》、戏剧《罗摩后传》和《指环印》以及抒情诗集《六季杂咏》和长篇叙事诗《罗怙世系》等古典梵语文学名著的翻译与研究,对于中国的印度学研究和相关的文类学研究都具有建设意义。Huang Baosheng is an outstanding contemporary scholar of Indian studies who has made remarkable achievements in the field of Indian literary translation and research.By compiling History of Ancient Indian Literature,he systematically sorted out the development history of Sanskrit Literature,made a thorough study of relevant works,made appropriate evaluation,and wrote a series of academic papers on this basis,reflecting his good foundation of Sanskrit.In the middle of his career,he presided over the translation of the Indian epic Mahabharata,which laid a foundation for the study of Indian and epic studies in China,and promoted in an all-round way the academic status of China in the field of Indian studies in the world.His Introduction to Mahabharata is a thematic study of the epic.It makes an in-depth discussion in simple terms of its edition background,characters,ideological content,artistic characteristics and cultural connotations such as religious philosophy and ethics.Recent translations and studies of classical Sanskrit literary masterpieces,such as the novel Tales of the Ten Princes,two plays Uttararāmacarita and Rákshasa's Ring,the lyric anthology itusa hāra and the long narrative poem Raghuvasa,are of constructive significance to Chinese Indian studies and related literary studies.
