Reconsideration of Using the Thinking in a Foreign Language

摘  要:外语教学中是否用外语思维一直没有定论。从语言相对论出发,从根源上揭示外语习得环境下,外语与母语思维、外语思维的关系,从而确定外语思维在外语学习中是带有母语思维烙印的外语概念模式,而并非外语学习的目的。进一步对影响其形成的两大因素——概念迁移和元认知策略做出详细探究,以此为培养外语思维提供启示。No agreement about whether the thinking in a foreign language should be used in foreign language learning(FLL)has been reached yet.Starting from Linguistic relativity,this thesis reveals the relationship between a foreign language,thinking in mother tongue and thinking in foreign language under the FLL circumstance fundamentally,and in turn defines the thinking in a foreign Language as a foreign conceptual model with mother tongue’s marks instead of the aim of FLL,and further investigates two main factors influencing its framing——conceptual transfer and meta-cognitive strategies in detail,which enlightens the cultivation of the thinking in a foreign Language.
