摘 要:古代经典如何进入现代世界,并不是一个在物理时间中可迎刃而解的问题。从新文化运动视域中的老子遭遇出发,讨论在新的语境下古代经典进入现代世界的思想条件。从伦理道德之批判,到政治立场的检讨;从形上智慧之批驳,到理想设计之辩难;最终到科学、哲学等现代学术的审视。经由新文化运动多层次、多角度的审查,老子进入20世纪中国思想界之大门得以开启。立足现代社会,以现代精神为主体,拒绝简单的信仰、沿袭,将传统的经典一一加以理性的审视,新文化运动其所秉持的这些对待古代经典的态度无疑值得称道。How the ancient classics were accepted in the modern world is not an easy question to answer in physical time.By analyzing Laozi’s acceptance in the New Culture Movement,this paper discusses the ideological conditions for ancient classics to enter the modern world in the new context.It points out that Laozi was accepted by the ideological circle of the 20th Century China through multi-level and multi-perspective examinations,including ethical and political criticism,refutation of metaphysical wisdom,questioning of ideal design and verification of modern scholarship like science and philosophy.It can been seen that people in the New Culture Movement stood from the reality with modern spirit as the subject,rejected believing and inheriting the ancient classics in a simple way and evaluated each of them rationally,which is undoubtedly praiseworthy.
