摘  要:Dear Editor,Current approaches to analyze cellular structures in the bone tissues have depended mainly on tissue sections.For instance,a recent study visualized different cellular populations in the 300-um sections of the mouse femurs1.Similarly,the distribution of hematopoietic stem cells could be examined in the half-bone sections2.Notably,such conventional methods obscure specific cellular structures,e.g.,neural innervations,that would be better observed with the intact,unsectioned bones.Moreover,histological sectioning could be challenging for many bone tissues,e.g.,vertebral column,skull and limbs.
