摘 要:周公"制礼作乐"是中国文化史上一件极为重要的大事,融合了夏、商和先周时期礼乐文明的精髓,呈现了西周礼乐制度的高度与深度。从传世和出土文献的记载来看,周公"制礼作乐"并非皆是其原创或者是独创,与此前文化应是一种"因革""损益"的关系。周公的贡献则是以先周传统的"德治"为主线,参照殷商、先夏时期礼制的基本框架进行整合与创造,最终形成"新"的周代礼乐文明。"积德行义""敬德保民"是周公"制礼作乐"的根本和总纲,是中华传统礼乐文明活的灵魂。The Duke of Zhou’s "establishing rituals and composing music" was a very important event in the history of Chinese culture. It combined the essence of the civilization of rituals and music in the Xia, Shang and Pre-Zhou Dynasties and demonstrated the height and depth of the systems of rituals and music in the Western Zhou Dynasty. According to the handed-down and unearthed literature and documents, the Duke of Zhou’s "establishing rituals and music" was not all original or exclusive, but was related to the previous culture in terms of "reforms" and "decrease or increase". The contribution of the Duke of Zhou was built upon the traditional "rule of virtue" in the Pre-Zhou Dynasty, and integrated and established by referring to the basic framework of the ritual system in Yin, Shang and Pre-Xia Dynasties, and finally shaped the ritual and music civilization in the "New" Zhou Dynasty. "Accumulating virtues and behaving righteously" and "respecting virtues and protecting people" were not only the basic and general outline of the Duke of Zhou’s establishing rituals and composing music but also the living soul of Chinese civilization of the traditional rituals and music.
