摘　　要：基于中国教育追踪调查数据,通过结构方程模型,研究家庭背景、学校质量对我国中学生教育期望的影响及其传导路径,发现如下结论:家庭背景对子女教育期望有着显著的正向影响;家庭背景与子女就读学校质量之间存在明显的正相关关系;学校质量在家庭背景与子女教育期望之间起着十分重要的中介作用,并且不以个体性别、城乡以及能力禀赋而改变,具有较强的稳健性;皮格马利翁效应切实存在,子女教育期望的形成深受父母、教师以及同学的影响。因此,为了尽量减弱家庭背景与子女教育期望之间的联系,让不同的个体可以享受相似的教育环境,当下较为合理的切入点就是缩小学校间质量的差异。This study,based on the China Education Panel Survey(CEPS)data,and the structural equation modeling,aims to explore the effect of family backgrounds and school quality on China's secondary school students'educational expectations.The results show the following:Family backgrounds had a significantly positive impact on children's educational expectations,and a significantly positive correlation with the quality of children's schools;school quality significantly mediated between family backgrounds and children's educational expectations,and this conclusion failed to change with children's gender and abilities,and the differences between urban and rural areas;and the Pygmalion effect did exist,for children's educational expectations were deeply influenced by parents,teachers and schoolmates.Therefore,to weaken the links between family backgrounds and children's educational expectations,and offer a similar educational environment to all children,we are supposed to narrow the difference in quality between schools,which is currently a reasonably feasible policy.
