Objective To explore the effect of virtual reality(VR)in the training of medical students for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Methods A total of 71 students were conveniently selected from 2 excellent classes in the first year of clinical medicine at a medical college in Guangdong province.Classes were randomLy divided into VR group and scenario simulation group. The two groups had the same theoretical teaching method and different skill training ways, which were VR and scenario simulation. The differences in CPR scores between the two groups of students after training were compared. Results After training, the scores of CPR scores, the actual operation key items(compression)scores and the non-key items(open airway and artificial respiration)scores in the VR group were higher than those in the scenario simulation group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion VR can improve the learning interest of medical students, promote students to master high-quality CPR,increase students'confidence in implementing CPR,enrich the methods and ways of medical education and clinical practice.
