摘  要:语言习俗作为反映社会文化的有效载体,能在一定程度上有效揭示社会对女性的性别歧视现象。本文沿用1999年Biber等人采用的语料库性别词汇分析方法,选取英国1961年LOB及1990年ICE-GB两个语料库,通过对比分析对两个时间节点的性别词汇,从三方面(性别特指词汇参数、双重性别词汇参数及特殊性别词的文本分析)研究1961年到1990年英国社会中女性地位的变化并探索此变化是否与在英国盛行的女权运动有关。结果发现,相较1961年,1990年阴性词汇及双性别词汇分别使用频率增多,特表女权的新兴词汇出现,侧面印证英国女性性别歧视现象可能减轻或至少女性得到更多的关注。但同时,社会对女性权益的态度可能呈现两极分化的趋势。As a faithful mirror of the social culture and values,linguistic convention can reflect social phenomenon such as gender bias towards women.In order to study Feminist Movement’s effect on women’s social status change and gender bias trend in the Great Britain from 1961 to 1990,this research is based on Biber et al 1999’s research method on studying gender related words through corpus,and compares three aspects of word using(gender-related reference,dual gender reference and special gender-related words from source context)in two corpora(1961 LOB and 1990 ICE-GB).With findings of higher usage of feminine words and dual gender words and the emergence of new words related to feminism,the result greatly suggests that gender bias towards women might have been mitigated,or at least women’s status has been gained wider attention in British society during this time period.However,it’s also reflected that attitudes towards women’s status also tend to show greater difference and even be polarized.
