名词化隐喻在《黄帝内经》英译本中的语篇功能类型论

摘　　要：基于功能语法的名词化隐喻体现过程和参与者等双重语义特征,是语法隐喻的主要表征方式。通过考察名词化隐喻在《黄帝内经》李照国英译本中的使用情况,发现其4种语篇功能类型在英译本中得到充分体现,即信息压缩功能、双重语篇衔接功能、叙事客观功能、语体正式功能。信息压缩功能使得译文信息概括精炼;双重语篇衔接功能包括主位衔接功能和词汇衔接功能,前者促进了小句信息流动和语义连贯,后者使得译文前后呼应,增强语义关联;叙事客观功能增强了译文的学术性和说服力;语体正式功能则有助于建构译者学术身份和译本学术价值。李译本名词化隐喻的合理使用提高了语篇的连贯性、学术性和接受性,有助于再现中医典籍学术语篇的文体风格。As a primary source of grammatical metaphor, nominalisation based on functional grammar represents two meanings: process and participant. Nominalisation in the translation of The Inner Canon Huangdi by LI Zhao-guo performs four textual functions: information-packing, twofold textual cohesion, narrative objectivity, and stylistic formality. Information-packing enhances the brevity and succinctness;twofold textual cohesion includes the theme-rheme cohesion and the lexical cohesion--the former promotes the flow of the clausal information and the semantic coherence, while the latter contributes to the discourse anaphora and semantic association;narrative objectivity facilitates the academic persuasiveness of the translation;stylistic formality helps to construct the academic identity of the translator and the academic value of the translation. Therefore, the rational use of nominalized metaphors improves the translation’s textual coherence, academic value and acceptability, thus being conducive to reproduce the stylistic features of TCM classics.
