摘　　要：埃德加·温德发展出了一种独特的艺术史研究方法,解开了从早期文艺复兴到19世纪欧洲艺术作品中蕴含的"意义"。1933年协助瓦尔堡图书馆搬迁到英国后,使得以瓦尔堡式研究为中心的德国艺术史传统在英美国家得到传播,改变了英国偏重鉴定的艺术研究传统,推动了艺术史学科在英国的发展。German art historian Edgar Wind combined his knowledge of classicism,philosophy and other disciplines with art history,and developed a unique art history methodology.After assisting Warburg Library to move to London in 1933,German art history tradition centered on Warburgian studies was spread in UK and USA,which changed the tradition of art research in England that emphasized connoisseurship and promoted the development of art history discipline in England.
