电影《墨攻》字幕英译中墨家思想的文化流失

摘　　要：电影作为一种现代综合艺术和大众传媒形式,在跨文化交流及文化传播中扮演着重要的角色。字幕文本有其特殊性,其翻译往往会面临较大的挑战,对于反映中国古代文化和思想的影片字幕翻译尤其如此。语言是跨文化研究最重要的载体,通过电影字幕译介中国传统文化,如墨家思想时,应在兼顾译文的概况性和凝练度的同时努力实现翻译的准确性和完整性,以最大限度地传达文化内涵,减少文化流失。As one of the most popular modern integrated arts and media forms,movies play an significant role in cross-culture communication.Due to the peculiarity of subtitle,its translation is frequently confronted with great challenges,which is particularly true of subtitle in movies reflecting Chinese traditional culture and thoughts.In the light of the function of language as a major carrier in cross-culture studies,when introducing Chinese traditional culture—with the Mohist thoughts as example through translating subtitle of movies,great efforts should be paid to struggling for actualization of accuracy and completeness with proper generalization and conciseness in the hope that cultural connotation could be conveyed to the utmost and cultural loss dwindled to the least.
