关于大学专业英语教学模式的思考

摘　　要：专业英语教学是高等学校英语教学至关重要的一个组成部分。相比于EGP(一般用途英语/公共英语),ESP(专门用途英语/专业英语)与学生所学专业的关系更为紧密。学生的专业英语水平对其专业发展也更为重要。专业化已经成为如今中国高校英语教学和改革的主要趋势,对于高职类院校来说,尤为重要。本文简要分析了当下高校专业英语教学常见模式并对新的专业英语教学新模式进行初步探讨。ESP teaching is an essential part of English teaching in colleges and universities.Compared with EGP(English for General Purpose),ESP(English for Specific Purposes)has a closer relation with students'major.Students'ESP ability is also very important to their career development.ESP becomes the main trend of English teaching and reform in colleges and universities in China now.It is especially important to higher vocational colleges.This thesis briefly analyzed some common teaching modes of ESP and also introduced some new teaching modes of it.
