论洪堡特语言和翻译思想中的普遍主义向度

摘　　要：洪堡特的语言思想和翻译思想存在内在的一致性,都以人类整体发展的终极目标,关注语言和人类精神之间的相互作用和相互影响,注重通过语言和翻译扩展观念领域,发展人类精神。深入理解其语言和翻译思想中共有的普遍主义向度,将有利于从整体上更好地理解洪堡特庞杂学术思想的整体性和内在一致性,推进洪堡特研究。本文从历史重建的角度,考察了洪堡特如何将语言和翻译视作制控人类发展史的强大力量,探讨了洪堡特注重人类精神发展的语言观和翻译观,揭示了洪堡特翻译思想与其语言观念之间存在的内在联系,明确了洪堡特学术思想中的普遍主义向度。William Humboldt takes a universal approach to understand language and concentrates on the spiritual heritage of human being contained in different languages. Thus a reflection on Humboldt’s view of language and translation from a historical perspective, by tracing the inner connection between his humanities thoughts, would be significant to Humboldt studies. This paper, based on a comprehensive analysis of Humboldt’s views of language and translation, explores the reason why Humboldt takes both linguistics and translation as a reliable approach to achieve the so-called perfect character. It is claimed in the conclusion that both Humboldt’s view of language and translation are oriented to human being’s developments, and therefore are of Universalism.
