摘　　要：明清时期入华的西方传教士在西学中译方面做了大量工作,其译介成果对中国近现代科学技术、社会思想、语言、文学以及中西交流都起到了促进作用。本文从西学汉译、《圣经》汉译、西方文学汉译几个方面进行回顾,揭示了传教士翻译活动对于中国近现代历史和中西交流的贡献及翻译学科史的价值。During the Ming and Qing dynasties,Western missionaries to China translated large amounts of books from western languages into Chinese.Their work promoted the development of modern science and technology,society and thoughts,language and literature in modern China,and also enhanced Sino-western communications.In retrospect of their work from such aspects as western-Chinese translation,Bible translation,literature translation,this paper expounds the western missionaries’contributions to modern Chinese history and the value of their work to the history of translation studies.
