摘　　要：各级各类学科竞赛已经成为高校培养创新型人才的重要途径,也是提升大学生创新能力和实施素质教育的平台.本文以内蒙古民族大学为对象,从民族高等院校开展学科竞赛的意义出发,结合近年来学校开展学科竞赛的举措和成效,阐述了积极开展学科竞赛的意义,即有利于培养大学生理论与实践相结合的创新意识和创新精神,对提高大学生实践创新能力具有积极促进作用.Subject competitions in various disciplines and levels have become an important way to cultivate college innovative talents,as well as a platform to improve students’innovative ability and implement quality education.Taking Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities as the object,we expound that carrying out subject competitions actively favors cultivating innovative consciousness and spirit of combining theory and practice.It has a positive effect on improving the practical innovation ability of college students,through the significance of carrying out subject competitions at ethnic universities combining with the results of carrying out subject competitions at our university in recent years.
