傅兰雅的译者素养观及对翻译教学的启示

摘　　要：傅兰雅是晚清最著名的外来科技译家,他认为从事科技翻译的译者要具有的素养是:对所译学科知识要"精炼",对翻译涉及的语言要"通晓",要追求翻译的"准确性"。傅兰雅的科技译者素养观来源于他的科技翻译实践,也具有一定的实践指导性。John Fryer was one of the most well-known foreign translators in Late Qing Dynasty. He believes that a translator engaged in science and technology translation should possess the following qualifications: be educated in the sciences to be translated, be familiar with the languages involved in translation and be accurate when translating. His belief is based on his translation practice, and can still shed some lights on today’s education of translators.
