摘　　要：武汉大学中国现当代文学专业历来都有为作家立传的传统。从学术谱系上看,这一传统主要有三种形式:其一是知人论世,以历史唯物主义史观和现代科学精神为作家立传;其二是以人代史,以史释人,通过传主经历反映文学史发展的整体脉络;其三是从建构心灵史的角度重塑传主形象,再现传主的精神真实。总体而言,这些作家传记不仅反映了武汉大学严谨求真的朴学传统,而且见证了当代作家传记写作的发展历史。The discipline of Chinese modern and contemporary literature has been with a long tradition of writing biography for writers, which is mainly manifested in these three ways: one is to understand the world in the light of the historical materialism and the modern scientific spirit;The second is to comprehend the development of literary history through a writerr’s creation process;The third is to reconstruct a writer’s spiritual image in order to throw light on his or her growth of self and creation. The scholars who are engaged in writing biography not only convey the tradition of rigorous research, and the empirical spirit of Wuhan University, but also witnesse the development and boom of biographical writing in China and the evolution of creating methods.
