摘　　要：学校教学离不开教师,教师教学能力的高低是整个教学质量能否提高的关键因素。因此,提升农村中学英语教师教学能力有助于提高农村地区学生的英语水平,甚至影响到学生的全面发展。该文通过调研分析榆林农村地区中学英语教师自身发展中的问题,并提出提高农村中学英语教师专业能力及教学能力,并进一步促进其自我发展的有效途径。Teaching in schools cannot be done without teachers,and the teachers’ teaching ability plays a significant role in the improvement of the whole teaching quality.Therefore,improving the teaching ability of English teachers in rural middle schools can help improve the English level of students in rural areas,and even affect the comprehensive development of students.This paper,through investigation,analyzes the problems in the professional development of middle school English teachers in rural areas of Yulin city and proposes effective ways to improve the teaching abilities of rural middle school English teachers,so as to further promote their self-development.
