编纂严谨 内容实用 重点突出——《通用英语语法》(第二版)评介

摘　　要：近二十年来,章振邦教授所编著的《通用英语语法》(第二版)一直是全国英语专业自学考试指定教材。笔者通过文本细读分析认为:该书条编纂严谨,内容实用,重点突出,既能解决实际问题又能提高应试能力,不失为一部很有价值的工具书。然而,该书在部分名词属格方面、名词翻译方面以及词性定性方面尚存在一些瑕疵。基于此,建议再版时加以进一步完善。English Grammar for General Readers(the 2^nd edition),compiled by Zhang Zhenbang,has always been the designated teaching and learning material for English majors in the National Self-study Examination.A close study of the text suggests that the book,reasonable in arrangement,practical in content,and rigorous in compilation,not only helps to solve practical problems but also helps to improve the learners test-taking ability.Therefore,it is indeed a valuable reference book.However,there is still some room to be further desired,such as the determination of the genus of some nouns,the translation of some nouns,as well as the determination of some parts of speech.Accordingly,it is suggested that proof-reading is a necessity before it is reprinted.
