摘 要:秦汉时期在今四川宜宾设立僰道,这是古代僰人最大的聚居区,后来被称为“僰国”。作为集团性势力的僰人消亡于北宋晚期,僰人分散且与其他民族杂居于“僰国”故地,“历今年久,俱化一体”。僰人不使用铜鼓,不行“悬棺”,也不“打牙”,与“獠人”习俗迥异。所谓“僰人南迁”并不存在,是一种迁徙想象。明代晚期称霸当地的都掌僚人覆灭之后,被袭称为僰人,“僰人悬棺”实是张冠李戴的误传。The Qin and Han Dynasties established the military district of Bo,the largest community of the Bo people,which was later known as“the Kingdom of Bo”.This strong local community,however,vanished in late Northern Song.The Bo people were dispersed and living in the old land of“the Kingdom of Bo”with other nationalities,and“for a long time,they all become one”.The Bo people didn't use bronze drums,or hang coffins or knocke out teeth,and were very different from the customs of the“Lao people”.The so-called“Bo people migrating southward”is rather a supposition than a historical fact.After the dominance of the Barbarian Duzhang people in this area ended,they inherited the name of Bo.So the“Bo people's custom of hanging coffins”was a misunderstanding.
