康达维英译《文选·赋》翻译策略研究——以《长门赋》为例

摘　　要：美国汉学家康达维英译的《文选·赋》是他最具代表性的学术成果和学术贡献。选取了汉代宫怨赋最著名的代表作--《长门赋》,从字词、句型、修辞和文化四个方面对康达维的赋英译策略进行文本分析并以实例论证。研究发现其在字词层面注重意义的准确与音韵的和谐;在句型层面不一味模仿原文形式,而是做了适当的调整;修辞层面不仅对比喻词进行了恰当的处理,同时还增加了原文所没有的排比句式以增强情感的表达;在文化层面整体上来说用异域文化的意象来比照和阐释。这些翻译策略的巧妙应用,无论是对中西赋学研究还是英语翻译实践,都有重要的学术价值和指导意义。The English translation of Selections:Fu is the most representative academic achievements of the American sinologist David R.Knechtges.Rhapsody on the Tall Gate Palace,a typical and famous piece of fu of sorrowful laments of the Han Dynasties,is selected to make a textual analysis of Knechtges’translation strategies in terms of words,sentence patterns,rhetoric and culture.It is found that,lexically,he pays special attention to the accuracy of meaning and the harmony of phonology;syntactically,he does not blindly imitate the original form,but makes appropriate adjustments;rhetorically,he not only makes appropriate treatment of the metaphors,but also adds the parallelism sentence pattern which is not in the original text to enhance the expression of emotions;culturally,the images of foreign culture are used to correspond the original ones.The ingenious application of these translation strategies is of great academic implications and guiding significance for both Chinese and western fu studies and English translation practice.
