摘　　要：为顺应经济全球化发展趋势,世界各国都大力发展继续教育,形成了各具特色的经验和做法。英国非常重视发展继续教育,并将其作为提高国民素质和综合国力的一项重要决策。通过对英国继续教育发展的历史沿革与主要特点进行剖析,总结发展规律,探讨其对我国继续教育发展的启示,结合我国情和继续教育发展特色,通过改革创新加快继续教育的转型。In order to conform to the trend of economic globalization,all countries in the world have vigorously developed continuing education and formed their own unique experiences and practices.In particular,Britain attaches great importance to the development of continuing education and regards it as an important decision to improve the quality of its citizens and overall national strength.This article analyzes the historical evolution and main characteristics of the development of continuing education in Britain,summarizes the law of development,combines China's conditions and the characteristics of continuing education development,and explores its enlightenment to the development of continuing education in China,and accelerates the transformation of continuing education by reform and innovation.
