摘　　要：王佐良是我国当代著名的外国文学专家、翻译家,也是一位诗人。20世纪40年代,他在西南联大读书时,深受英国著名现代主义诗人和理论家燕卜荪的影响,从此与英美现代诗歌结缘。译介英美现代诗歌是王佐良学术生命中至关重要的一部分。虽然他在这方面的成果不算丰富,然而他见解独到,译介诗歌也很有特点,值得研读。更为重要的是,王佐良与英美现代诗歌的关系在某种程度上代表了他那一代人与西方文学特别是西方现代主义文学的关系,也折射出西方现代主义文学在现当代中国传播与接受的曲折历程。Wang Zuoliang is a famous translator and poet, as well as an important expert of foreign literature studies in contemporary China. In the 40 s of 20th century, when he was a student in Southwest United University, he began to love modern poetry under the influence of the famous British modernist poet and critic W.Empson. It is quite safe to say that to translate and review Anglo-American modern poetry is an inseparable part of Wang’s academic career. Although his achievements in this field is rather limited, it is still worth studying, since his reviews are original and his translations noteworthy. Moreover, Wang Zuoliang’s translation and review of Anglo-American modern poetry represent the relationship of his generation and modern western literature, and modernist literature in particular, reflecting the tortuous course of western modernist literature in modern and contemporary China.
