梁实秋散文《中年》英译探究

摘　　要：该文以梁实秋先生的散文《中年》的英译为例,从文本、词汇和句子三个角度进行剖析,探讨了散文的词句特点与英译策略,阐释了翻译是一个在两种不同的语言和文化之间做出沟通、调解和决策的过程,而好的译文不仅应传达原文的形式与内容,更应试图传达其内涵与文化。Taking the English translation of Mr.Liang Shiqiu's prose Middle Age as an example,this paper analyzes the features and translation strategies of the Chinese prose in terms of the text,words and sentences.Besides,the paper also illustrates translation as a negotiation,mediation and decision-making process,and concludes that a good translation should not only convey the form and content of the original text,but should also try to convey its cultural background beyond the linguistic level.
