理想认知模式(ICM)视域下的外语写作教学

摘  要:认知语言学理论理想认知模型(Idealized Cognitive Model,ICM)认为,具备范畴全部特征的最佳成员ICM是人们在与世界互动的过程中,根据理想环境想象出来的,客观世界中不存在这种完美成员;最具范畴原型性的ICM由不同的CM族群组成。根据该理论,“外语写作成品”概念范畴就是由“内容”、“语言”、“标题”、“词汇”、“结构”、“逻辑”等子概念组成的一个具有格式塔性质的集群,这表明,外语写作教学应该首先改善师生对“外语写作”概念的认知,在此基础上阅读、分析大量范文,引领学生掌握外语写作ICM的特征,从构成该概念范畴的子范畴集群逐方面入手强化外语写作能力,再以精美范文为认知参照点开展写作练习,通过多次讲评与修改,逐步提高外语写作成品的原型性,使其越来越接近ICM。One of cognitive theories,Idealized Cognitive Model,ICM,holds that the most representative member of a category that possesses all features of the said category is the product of imagination during human interaction with the world;in the objective world,there is no such a perfect representative member;ICM,the most representative member of a category,which is composed of a cluster of CMs.According to which,the concept category“EFL WRTIING PRODUCT”is a cluster CMs which is composed of such CMs as“CONTENT”,“LANGUAGE”,“TITLE”,“VOCABULARY”,“STRUCTURE”,etc.which suggests that EFL teaching should firstly innovate teacher’s and students’cognition of concept of“EFL WRTIING PRODUCT”,based on which huge amount of typical English articles are introduced,read and analyzed to guide the students to master the features of elaborate English writing;then,enhance students ability in different CMs and instruct them to regard the mentioned samples as cognitive reference point when writing,followed by multitiple assessments and revisions,in order that their product approaches the quality of“EFL WRTIING PRODUCT”ICM.
