摘　　要：排球英语的特点之一是大量使用被动句,而汉语中被动句的使用频率则低得多,这就成为翻译中的一大难点。本文结合例句探讨排球英语中被动句的两类主要翻译方法,使译文既忠实准确地传达原文意思,又符合汉语表达习惯。目的是为排球英语翻译方法的完善提供参考,促进排球运动在不同文化间的传播。Volleyball English translation has been a tough task partly due to the use of a large amount of passive sentences.With the analysis of specific examples,this paper discusses two major translation methods of volleyball English passive sentences,aiming not only to faithfully and accurately convey the original meaning,but also to conform to Chinese expression habits.The purpose of this paper is to provide some reference for the improvement of volleyball English translation and to promote the spread of volleyball among different cultures.
