功能对等理论指导下英文小说翻译策略研究——以小说《4321》翻译为例

摘　　要：因涉及广阔的社会背景、丰富的风土人情、立体的人物形象以及跌宕起伏的情节推进,小说翻译对语义及语体的再现提出很高的要求。文章结合小说《4321》的翻译实例,以功能对等理论为指导,从词汇对等、句法对等以及修辞对等三个层面来探讨英文小说翻译过程的策略与技巧。Due to the wide social background,rich customs,three-dimensional characters and the ups and downs of the plot,novel translation requires a high level of semantic and stylistic reproduction.Based on the translation of“4321”,this paper discusses the strategies and techniques of English novel translation from three aspects:lexical equivalence,syntactic equivalence and rhetorical equivalence.
