摘　　要：高职院校发展与城市现代化建设具有密不可分的关系。高职院校依靠城市地理位置,依托城市建设需要,深入挖掘城市文化内涵,是学校加快发展步伐、深度融入地方文化、服务城市建设的必然方向。当前,高职院校在建设过程中常遇到学校发展定位不清晰、缺乏活力、发展路径单一等实际困难,束缚了高职院校在服务城市建设中发挥更大的作用。广州城市职业学院通过重新审视学院发展定位,充分挖掘广州城市文化,以特色学院开辟发展新路径,为高职院校的跨越式发展提供了启示。There is an inseparable relationship between the development of higher vocational colleges and the construction of urban modernization.Relying on the location of the city and the need of the city construction,the higher vocational colleges should excavate the connotation of the city culture,which is the inevitable direction for the schools to speed up the development,integrate the local culture and serve the city construction.At present,higher vocational colleges often meet some practical difficulties in the process of construction,such as inaccurate orientation,lack of vitality and single development path,which restrict higher vocational colleges to play a greater role in serving urban construction.By re-examining the development orientation of Guangzhou City Polytechnic,fully excavating the city culture of Guangzhou,and opening up a new path for the development of characteristic colleges,it provides enlightenment for the leaping development of higher vocational colleges.
