摘　　要：本文探讨诊断测评对高中英语教学的促进作用。研究结果表明,测评系统在施测后所生成的反馈报告等测评数据为教师提供了重要信息,为后期开展补救性教学提供重要参照。诊断测评能有效帮助教师识别学生语言能力的强弱项,使教师能够根据学生能力发展需要和实际情况有的放矢地开展教学设计。对于教师所实施的诊测导向型教学干预,学生的反应普遍良好。This study examined how diagnostic language assessment(DLA)improved English teaching and learning at secondary level.The results show that the feedback report,as well as other assessment data automatically generated after DLA administration,provided important information for the teacher to carry out the design and delivery of the follow-up remedial teaching.DLA helped the teacher identify the strength and weakness in students'language ability,hence enabled her to perform effective course design based on the identified needs for ability development and the instructional context.Students'response was generally positive to the diagnostic assessment oriented teaching intervention.
