摘  要:随着国内外对环境保护的关注持续升温,未来市场对具备可使用英语顺畅交流的生态环境类人才需求量也将随之增加。本文基于海南大学2016级环境科学专业近110名学生的专业英语教学现状调查,分析教学过程中存在的一些关键性问题,从多角度提出环境类专业英语教学改进策略,对提升环境类专业英语教学水平起到重要作用。With the increasing attention on environmental protection at home and abroad, the demand for talents who are majored in ecology and environment will increase, particularly those can also use English to communicate smoothly. This study investigated the current situation of professional English teaching among nearly 110 students majored in environmental science in 2016 from Hainan university, the key problems in the teaching process were analyzed, and some teaching strategies for improving professional English for environmental science or engineering were also proposed from various perspectives. This would provide a new way for professional English teaching and plays an important role in improving the teaching quality and level.
